Terms and Conditions

1. DEFINITIONS

1.1 Customer means the person or entity named on the invoice, quotation, work authorisation or any other document to which these Terms and Conditions apply, including any person acting on their behalf with proper authority.

1.2 Goods means the goods supplied by the Company in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

1.3 Company means London Joinery Plus Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 07573276.

1.4 Completion means completion of delivery and installation of the Goods in accordance with the Contract.

1.5 Delivery means delivery of the Goods to the Customer in accordance with the Contract.

1.6 Installation means installation of the Goods as specified in the Contract.

1.7 Installation or Delivery Site means the location stated in the Contract.

1.8 Conditions means these standard terms and conditions.

1.9 Contract means the agreement for the supply, delivery and installation of the Goods.

1.10 Price means the total price for the Goods and Installation, including VAT, as stated in the Contract.

2. BASIS OF SALE

2.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts entered into by London Joinery Plus Ltd based on agreed estimates. All approved estimates are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

2.2 Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and may be amended after expiry.

2.3 Any variation to these Terms or to an agreed estimate must be confirmed in writing.

2.4 The Company reserves the right to correct any typographical or clerical errors in quotations, estimates, invoices or other documentation without liability.

2.5 Delivery and installation dates are estimates only. The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its control. Lead times commence from the date of the first site visit.

2.6 Delays caused by supplier or material availability may extend the project completion date. The Company shall not be held responsible for such delays.

2.7 If required materials become unavailable, the Company will endeavour to source alternatives but reserves the right to extend completion dates accordingly.

2.8 Time shall not be of the essence. Goods may be delivered earlier than estimated upon reasonable notice.

2.9 The Customer shall provide unrestricted access to the site and permit the use of utilities necessary for Installation.

2.10 The Company shall not be liable for unavoidable damage to:

  • plasterwork, tiles or coving

  • redecoration requirements

  • driveways, paving or surfaces used for skips or vehicles

2.11 If works are delayed due to incorrect information or denied access, a day rate of £600 + VAT will be charged.

3. INSTALLATION SITE RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1 The Customer must prepare the site prior to Installation, including removal of:

  • furniture, valuables, carpets, curtains and blinds

  • personal fixtures intended to be retained

  • alarms, doorbells and similar systems

  • radiators, sockets, cables, appliances

The Company is not responsible for redecoration or finishing works outside the installation scope.

4. PRICE AND PAYMENT

4.1 Prices include VAT at the applicable rate. Any VAT changes may result in price adjustment.

4.2 The Company may suspend works if payments are overdue.

4.3 Payments shall be made in accordance with the agreed estimate schedule.

4.4 Additional works require a revised estimate and written approval.

4.5 Prices are fixed for 3 months from estimate acceptance, after which adjustments may apply due to material or scheduling changes.

4.6 Payments may be made by bank transfer, cheque, cash or card. Cheques must be payable to London Joinery Plus Ltd.

4.7 Failure to pay on time entitles the Company to:

  • suspend works

  • charge interest

  • terminate the Contract

The balance is payable on the day of completion.

4.8 The Customer indemnifies the Company for all losses arising from non-payment.

5. WARRANTY

5.1 All Goods are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship.

5.2 Warranty applies for 2 years, excluding fair wear and tear, subject to correct maintenance.

5.3 Repaired or replaced items remain subject to these Terms.

6. RISK AND TITLE

6.1 Risk passes to the Customer upon Delivery.

6.2 Title remains with the Company until full payment is received.

6.3 The Company may recover Goods if payment is outstanding.

6.4 A completion form must be signed on completion.

6.5 Refusal to sign constitutes acceptance of works.

7. PENALTIES

7.1 Late payments incur 8.5% daily interest on outstanding balances.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

8.1 Claims must be made within 7 days of Completion or discovery of defects.

9. CANCELLATION

9.1 Either party may cancel within 10 working days.
Deposits may be partially retained if costs have been incurred.
Cancellations after Installation commencement incur 25% of remaining balance.

10. SUPPLIER OBLIGATIONS

10.1 Services shall be performed with reasonable skill and care.

11. SITE VISITS

11.1 Paid site visit fees will be deducted from the final invoice if works proceed.

12. COMMUNICATION

12.1 Responses will be provided within 5 working days.

13. ENGINEERING & STRUCTURAL WORKS

13.1 Structural calculations are excluded unless agreed in writing.

14. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

14.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties.

15. DEBT COLLECTION

15.1 Overdue invoices may be referred to First Legal Debt Recovery, with all associated costs payable by the Customer.
